Do you want to make your own homemade jam or pickles? Then this class is for you! You'll watch the whole process, up close and personal, for both a jam and a pickle, and learn:
- What's important in a recipe
- What can or can not be changed
- What equipment and ingredients are important
- All the steps for a delicious product
- How to store your homecanned goods
- What affects final quality
Procedures for canning fruit and tomatoes will also be discussed.
There will be time to answer all your questions.
Instructions and recipes for several jams and pickles are included, and the NEW USDA Guide to Home Canning book will be available for purchase at a discount.
The actual recipes we make will depend on locally available produce at the time of the class.
Class is free but a $5 donation will be requested at the door to cover the cost of materials used.
